West Hills County Park
This is a small hiking trail, leading around the highest point on Long Island (at an elevation of 400 feet). There are several meadows and some camp ground. Multiple trails to explore depending on how long you want your hike to be.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake.The park has approximately 800+ acre separated into sections, divided by Sweet Hollow Road, High Hold Drive, and the Northern State Parkway..
Cost: During the summer $13 per car.

kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around with groomed hiking paths, picnic areas and a horseback riding facility. Also great place for camping.
Dogs: Allowed on leashes. There is a dog park.
