Theodore Roosevelt Home/Museum
Sagamore Hill National Historic Site was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th U.S.President (1885-1919). Theodore Roosevelt spent many summers in the Oyster Bay area. Beautiful, easy loop hike down to the beach.The historic house is filled with all authentic original belongings of the Roosevelt family, gifts given to him from world leaders and visitors, and even the great room of the house being used for official Presidential cabinet meetings and business.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake.The park has 155 acres of land.
Cost: It is free to park and walk around. The museum was adults admission $10 and children under 16 No Fee.

kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around and learn about history.
Dogs: Not allowed in the buildings, but they are allowed on leashes in designated areas.
