Steppingstone Park
The park is beautifully manicured with about 10 1/2 acres overlooking Long Island Sound. It was established in the early 1940s as a beach where the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy currently stands. The park has water activities, lovely sculptures, flowers, overlooking the water and the boats, grassy expanses and children’s activities. During the summer months, Steppingstone Park is filled with weekend Concerts.

Cost: Only for residents with park cards.

kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around with athletic facilities and a playground.
Dogs: Allowed on leashes. All dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated.
