Shu Swamp Nature Preserve
A great park with two main trail loops. Amazingly tall trees. Crazy amount of carp in the pond. Fishing is prohibited. There’s always tons of assorted wildlife, many varieties of songbirds and raptors. Wear waterproof shoes or boots while some parts were a little muddy (but it’s worth it.) You could spend hours here. No facilities. Closed Fridays.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake. Approximately 1.5 mile loop trail.
Cost: Free. Free parking lot. No street parking.

kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around (watch for ticks).
Dogs: Not allowed.
