Seneca Lake
This is the largest of the glacial Finger Lakes of New York, and the deepest glacial lake entirely within the state. Beautiful area always something to see and do. Great swimming and public lakeside access with full service concession stand. Steep hike down to the water's edge and back out but worth it.
Hike Rating: Depends how much you are willing to walk. The Seneca Lake Scenic Byway is approximately 19-mile. You can a walk down the Seneca Lake Pier or through Catharine Creek Marsh Wildlife Management Area. You can also drive around the entire lake in 120 minutes
