North/South Lake
Absolutely gorgeous! A lot of wildlife to watch. You can swim at both North and South Lake beaches from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day when lifeguards are on duty. You can bring rowboats, canoes and kayaks. A paved boat ramp is located at the North Lake area. Rowboat, kayak, canoe, stand-up paddleboard and paddle boat rentals are available at the campground. Well maintained campground. Plenty of space between the each camp site bathrooms are clean with flushing toilets, showers, are clean too and have hot showers. Several trails take you to the overlook and to Kaaterskills waterfalls.
Hike Rating: Easy to Advance. Approximently 1,100-acre state campground. Over 200 miles of trail.
