Muttontown Preserve (Chelsea Mansion)
Beautiful at any time of the year! The preserve includes miles of marked nature trails, some thin some wide (Good snow shoeing and cross-country skiing). There is a building that will say Bill Patterson nature preserve, inside there are learning opportunities for children. It’s great to know there are still wild growing places such as this.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake. Approximately 550-acre nature preserve (2.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail).
Cost: It is free to park and walk around (parked at Chelsea Mansion).

kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around.
Dogs: Allowed on leashes.
