Minnewaska State Park Preserve
My absolute favorite preserve around NY area. Home to waterfalls, sky lakes, diverse forests, and sweeping vistas of the Catskills & Hudson Valley. Absolutely stunning park! So much to explore for those that enjoy quality time in nature! I suggest few days to explore the whole preserve. Great getaway about 90 miles from the city.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake to Advance (good for all skill levels). Features 22,275-acre preserve with multiple hiking spots.
Cost: $10 per car.

kids: Fantastic for kids plenty of space to run around and plenty to do.
Dogs: Allowed on leashes.
