Forest Falls
This waterfall is hidden within the Cornell University campus (north side of the Cornell campus). Fall Creek Gorge is a mile long gorge that runs along Fall Creek from Beebe Lake to Ithaca Falls before eventually running into Cayuga Lake. There are six waterfalls along this gorge and each has its own name. Forest Falls is a 25 foot high cascade.
Hike Rating: Peace of cake. Accessible by a footbridge. There is a small parking area and you can walk to it in a few minutes.
Cost: Complimentary weekend parking near the Martin Y. Tang Welcome Center. Monday through Friday $7.
Location: Thurston Ave., Ithaca, NY 14853 (Located in the heart of Cornell’s campus)
kids: Great for kids plenty of space to run around.
Dogs: Allowed on leashes in designated areas.
