Blue Mountain Reservation
This place offers a multitude of trails (some very narrow and poorly marked trails) for hiking and biking that cover a beautiful eastern deciduous oak/maple forest. Accessible by metro-north Train from NYC to Peekskill. Facilities include picnic area, ballfields, camping, fishing, shooting range and horse trails.
Hike Rating: Moderate to Advance. Approximately 15 mile of trails (1,538-acre park).
Cost: $10 per car.
